The virtue of excellence isn't always about how high you can reach. It isn't also only about what the mind can do, and what your intellect can become superior over. Excellence is about personal transcendence. It's about how far you've gone from where you began. It's about achieving your goal but not stopping there. You try to break your limits in an effort to set out a new one in the horizon. Excellence is about personal abilities. It is your choice to become inclined to any field of interest. Every excellence is its own, and is not a factor of comparison. Sun Tzu's quote tells a lot about personal excellence. There is no 'standard' way to take a path towards it. The path is your choice to make, to take, and to break.
